The Kings Arms Inn is a traditional 16th Century Grade II listed thatched and whitewashed former Coaching Inn nestled away in the Blackdown Hills area of Stockland, Devon. An impressive flagstoned walkway entrance greets you on your arrival, and a medieval oak screen and an original bread oven are just some of the magnificent features you will find here as well as the long standing reputation for fine dining and fine wines.
Whether dining more formally in the main restaurant with the log burner to warm the winter nights or the atmospheric Cotley Bar restaurant with the roaring open fires, and new for 2009 is the new Farmers Bar Restaurant. The Kings Arms Inn offers a range of imaginative dishes which (wherever possible) are locally sourced. On the blackboards expect to find dishes such as Pigeon Breasts, Ostrich Fillets, and Gravadlax as well as the traditional favourites like Beef Stroganoff, Rack of Lamb and fresh fish from the Devon coast. As well as lunchtime dishes of filled Ciabattas Chips and Salads and Home made Soup of the Day There is also an extensive well chosen wine list to compliment your meal.
Lunch is served daily from 12noon until 2pm from the A La Carte or Bar Menu. Evening Meals are from 6.30 until 9.30. Bookings for Dinner are essential.

There is also a small enclosed garden and a outside smoking area known as The Well.
